Everything I watch subsequently, looks low quality, blurry, grainy. I went to see this in 48FPS and was totally blown away at how good it looked. I want Blade Runner to look like a 1981 AdamAnt video. I'd even be open to the notion of buying an older discontinued TV if it has the strong motion smoothing on it. I was told that because so many people hated the motion smoothing effect, the manufacturers toned it right down, so even on max setting, it's barely noticeable. One helpful store set up two TV's, turned motion smoothing to max on one and none on the other to compare. I visited a few stores, and had demos on a few TV's. The thought of playing blu rays or streaming, and seeing movies with a video crisp look is a real attraction.
